We went for a Christmas meal and had the festive menu, food was good quality for money! Overall pleased with the food and service for the very low set menu price paid.It was a larger party and the booking process was not very easy as the restaurant were hard to get hold of.We ended up going into the pub to pay the deposit. For a large group the table was quite cramped, although there were other large parties in the restaurant who had plenty of room so it was just unlucky for us! Extremely disappointed that they would not cater for my friend with a nut allergy and the person who I spoke to on the phone about this was not very helpful and did not explain very well the reasons why. We were not informed until a week after submitting menu choices and advising of the allergy that they would not cater for it, which by that point was quite close to our booking date and we could not find a table elsewhere due to the size of our party and it being Christmas. My friend still came along but did not eat.

Very nice pub had my first seniors menu meal blooming lovely. So reasonable .lots of potholes on the drive in so take it steady.

Nice afternoon drink in a newly revamped pub. Sat outside but looked like plenty of drinking space inside and a nice sized restaurant as well ... Abbot ale was in good condition as the GandT was nice .... will be heading back soon ....

Top traditional pub, no bells and whistles just a great place to sit quiet in an afternoon and have a pint or have food with the little ones. Lots of grassy area outside for kids to play on but small road is a bit worrying. Staff are great here, top service better than some higher end posher places.

Went as a party of four adults, four children and a dog. The dog was allowed inside in one area which was great as the weather was not suitable for sitting outside. We bought drinks and ordered food, which arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. The food was very good and was well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.We will definitely visit again when back in the area visiting friends.Highly recommended!
